Hollis: You can put it this way. He said, “We all need to know what supports us when nothing supports us.” And I think that is a profound paradox. What supports me when nothing supports me? And so I know that when I need to make a decision, I wait for the dream. Waking at three in the morning, I see something from a different standpoint. I even find it sometimes when I’m driving and I’m distracted and something comes up from below. It’s in those moments that you recover a relationship to your own truth, and that’s the discovery of a personal authority.
