To witness is just to be there, to remain with eyes open. It is a way of seeing.
Since basically everything is full of lies, you either have to like the lies (be in denial) or dislike being in daily life.
Daily life—being out in the world—is unbearable when it is full of lies and if we believe that truth—not living in denial—is necessary for our full humanity.
We aim to carry both the terrible and the beautiful, to allow the full range to inform how we live in the world. When we are willing to take in all the availabl einformation, we become available for the possibility of healing and change.Category
