Ideas show up when we let our minds wander.

Big ideas tend to appear when we are least expecting or prepared for them -- and often when we are not striving for solutions, not actively doing, but rather when we allow the mind to wander. Thoughts quieten and, while the active brain is focused on the task at hand, the untethered resting mind can wander, to expand and explore deeper realms of the unconscious comma and sometimes spark new ideas and new ways of looking at old issues.
