This small stitched piece is inspired by Waxahatchee’s album, Saint Cloud.
When I think back on 2020, these songs make up the soundtrack. We listened to the first released tracks non-stop in February 2020 and counted the days until the full album came out... And then we basically never still stopped listening...during Sunshine Time, building the patio, in my stock tank pool, in the shower, and around the house. Then Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Kevin Morby started doing the Weekly Rodeo sessions on Instagram and these are the sweet memories I have of those early days of isolation.
I made this little mini as a way to translate some of these highlights of my year into my work. These lyrics from the song Fire are everything. Thanks, Katie, I'm very thankful for this album. ♥️
