To deal with moral injury, it is relevant to ask Frankl’s question, “In the midst of what has happened and what is still happening, how can I find meaning in life?” It’s not a matter of denying or ignoring the terrible stuff, but of accepting it and moving forward from there.
We aim to carry both the terrible and the beautiful, to allow the full range to inform how we live in the world. When we are willing to take in all the availabl einformation, we become available for the possibility of healing and change.We live by scripts that are the rules that guide our interactions.
